Jim Cramer: Hello, Goodbye

I just flipped on the TV to catch Kudlow & Cramer. I'd noticed that Cramer was absent for a while, developing his new call-in show "Mad Money." I wasn't sure if he'd leave the show completely, but I was slightly (though not totally) surprised to see that it is now Kudlow & Company instead of Kudlow and Cramer.

I must admit that Cramer was about the only reason I watched the old K&C. I suppose insanity makes for good television. I'd be interested to see what he does with the call-in format (there have been ads asking for CNBC viewers to call in, ostensibly to get Jim prepped for the launch), but I suspect that if I get any financial news from TV, I'll look to the Nightly Business Report, Your World with Neil Cavuto, and/or the 2-hour weekend Fox stock block. I've gotten sick of the broadening news coverage that all business shows seem to be pushing now. I suspect that if one of them gets canned, Kudlow will go first unless he can find a compelling format.

EDIT: For those of you who may be wondering when Cramer's "Mad Money" will premiere, I have no clue. I'm quite interested in seeing it, but CNBC's website has no mention of the show, and the Mad Money promo I saw today (during one of CNBC's specials) said it was "coming soon" but did not specify a date. I suspect it will debut within a couple of weeks, and as soon as it does (and as soon as I watch it) I'll check back with my thoughts.
